Each of Elaine’s distinctive paintings becomes a personal journey through a creative process; one
that results in a reflection of her training and prior experience.  During the past several years, Elaine’s body of work has evolved from realistic to abstract,
with the unifying themes being color and line.

“My paintings come from nature and the things that surround me every day - the colors and shapes that surround us but not always seen.  These are the
images I hope to convey in my work.”

With prior training as a graphic artist, Elaine has worked in a variety of other media including etchings and photo silk-screening.  Throughout the years, she has studied art at Broward Community College and Florida Atlantic University where her interests broadened to include photography.

 

Elaine, who was born in Philadelphia, PA has been a resident of South Florida since 1966.  With a Masters degree in Nursing in Florida. Elaine has been employed as a Nurse Practitioner.

Elaine has exhibited her work at several South Florida art galleries for which she has won awards including best in show.  She is a member of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society, Florida Watercolor Society, Plantation Art Guild, XII Voices and Women in the Visual Arts.
